28 Day Water Challenge–The Results!

2014-06-010Hey guys!  I know I’m a day late with the water challenge post but things got a little off track yesterday with the blog move.  So, you get my results today!  And tomorrow will be the new Summer Series post.

 

Well, I did it!  Kind of.  There were definitely some not so great days but all in all the water challenge was pretty successful.  I didn’t lose any weight and besides having some more energy and fewer headaches I didn’t really notice much.  I wasn’t even going to do a side by side photo but look at that before and after!!!  Seriously, you guys, I’m in shock!  I really didn’t think my skin looked any different.  Maybe a little more tan from all the Arizona pool days but when I put those next to each other I couldn’t believe it!  Let me remind you that both of those are untouched with the exception of being cropped.  I want to go on record saying I don’t see that difference in the mirror.  Maybe I just don’t see it or maybe my skin was having a good camera day!  I’m honestly not sure.  The world may never know.  Pssst…I hope you just read that in the Tootsie Roll owls voice haha.  Now, let’s move on.

 

I do want to share with you guys what I did notice.

—My energy was definitely up.  Not bouncing off the walls and conquering the world kind of up but it was better.

—My headaches went way down!  Who would have thunk it?  Oh that’s right, my husband, who has been telling me for the past 12 years that I need to drink more water would have ha.

—Starting early makes a difference!  If you are a coffee drinker I recommend drinking a glass of water before you have your coffee.  And if you are going to have more than one cup of coffee have a glass of water (or at least some water) between each cup.  This is most definitely a “do as I say, not as I do” rule!  Yep, I’m a rebel.  I don’t even follow my own rules!

 

All in all I think this was a great challenge for me.  I drink pretty much no water normally and live in a desert.  Not a great combo.  This has definitely gotten me into a better habit of drinking enough water.  I’ll definitely continue.  I may or may not begin to try to cut soda out of my diet.  I think if I would have done that while I did the water challenge I would have lost weight no problem.  I guess I’m just not motivated yet.  But, if you are like me and are always tired, get tons of headaches, and take way to much Tylenol to get rid of those headaches I most definitely recommend you take this challenge!!  Sorry I don’t have more impressive results but I hope that I have inspired you enough that you go ahead and take the challenge, too!  28 days—3 liters of water a day.  You can do it!  If you missed the other posts here are some links so you can check out the past few weeks.  Day 1, day 8, day 15, and day 21.
